Bio-Release
At a glance
A Biodynamic term for the release of held tension or stored emotional charge through bodywork, movement, or spontaneous physical response — sighing, shaking, warmth, or a felt sense of letting go.
Where this needs a disability correction
Classical release-oriented models can imply that a visible, physical release is the marker of successful therapeutic work — and that its absence means something didn’t shift. That standard doesn’t fit every body. Release might be internal and quiet rather than visible. It might not happen in a way that’s recognisable to an outside observer at all, and that’s not a failure of the work.
The reconstruction
The actual value here isn’t the visible release itself — it’s whatever shift in relationship to the held material a person experiences, however that shows up, or doesn’t show up visibly at all. Trust the person’s own report over an expected physical sign.
